    Stainless steel seamless pipe is a kind of long steel with hollow section and no joint around it. The thicker the wall thickness is, the more economical and practical it is. The thinner the wall thickness is, the higher the processing cost will be.
    The process of this product determines its limited performance. Generally, the precision of seamless steel tube is low: uneven wall thickness, low brightness inside and outside the tube, high cost of length fixing, and there are pits and black spots on the inside and outside surface which are not easy to remove; its detection and shaping must be off-line processed. Therefore, it embodies its superiority in high pressure, high strength and mechanical structure materials.

    According to the rolling method, the stainless steel pipes are divided into hot rolling, hot extrusion and cold drawing (rolling).

    Specification and appearance quality
    A. According to GB14975-2002 Stainless Steel Seamless Steel Pipe, the length of hot-rolled steel pipes is usually 1.5-10m, and the hot-extruded steel pipes are equal to or larger than 1m. The wall thickness of cold-drawn (rolled) steel tube is 0.5-1.0 mm, 1.0-7 m, and that of steel tube is 1.5-8 m, which is larger than 1.0 mm.
    B. There are 45 kinds of hot-rolled (hot-extruded) steel pipes with diameter of 54-480 mm and 36 kinds of wall thickness of 4.5-45 mm. There are 65 kinds of cold-drawn (rolled) steel pipes with diameters of 6-200 mm and 39 kinds of wall thickness of 0.5-21 mm.
    C. There shall be no cracks, folds, cracks, cracks, rolling, delamination and scarring on the inner and outer surfaces of steel pipes. These defects shall be completely eliminated (except for pipes for mechanical processing). After removal, the wall thickness and outer diameter shall not exceed the negative deviation. Other minor surface defects that do not exceed the allowable negative deviation may not be removed.
    D. Permissible depth of straight path. Hot-rolled and hot-extruded steel pipes with diameter less than or equal to 140 mm are not larger than 5% of the nominal wall thickness and the maximum depth is not greater than 0.5 mm; cold-drawn (rolled) steel pipes are not more than 4% of the nominal wall thickness and the maximum depth is not greater than 0.3 mm.
    E. Both ends of steel pipe should be cut at right angles and burrs should be removed.
    Manufacturing Technology of Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe
    1. Hot-rolled (extruded seamless steel pipe): round billet heating piercing three-roll skew rolling, continuous rolling or extrusion stripping sizing (or reducing diameter) cooling straightening water pressure test (or flaw detection) marking storage
    The raw material for rolling seamless tube is round tube billet. The tube embryo is cut by a cutting machine and the billet with a growth of about 1 meter is sent to the furnace by a conveyor belt for heating. The billet is fed into the furnace and heated at about 1200 degrees Celsius. Fuel is hydrogen or acetylene. Temperature control in furnace is a key problem. After discharging the round tube billet, it must be perforated by a pressure punch. The common piercing machine is conical roll piercing machine. This kind of piercing machine has high production efficiency, good product quality, large piercing diameter enlargement, and can pierce many kinds of steel. After perforation, the round billet is rolled, rolled or extruded successively by three rolls. After extrusion, the tube should be taken off and calibrated. The sizing machine rotates into the steel embryo to drill holes at high speed through the conical drill bit to form the steel pipe. The inner diameter of steel pipe is determined by the outer diameter length of the drill bit of the sizing machine. After sizing, the steel pipe enters the cooling tower and is cooled by spraying water. After cooling, the steel pipe will be straightened. After straightening, the steel pipe is sent to metal flaw detector (or hydraulic test) by conveyor belt for internal flaw detection. If there are cracks and bubbles in the steel pipe, they will be detected. After the quality inspection of steel pipes, strict manual selection is required. After quality inspection of steel pipes, paint is sprayed with numbers, specifications, production batches, etc. The crane is hoisted into the warehouse.

    The rolling method of cold-drawn (rolled) seamless steel tube is more complicated than that of hot-rolled (extruded) seamless steel tube. The first three steps of their production process are basically the same. The difference is that starting from the fourth step, after the round billet is emptied, it should be first annealed. After annealing, special acid liquids are used for pickling. After pickling, apply oil. Then followed by a number of cold-drawn (cold-rolled) billet tube, special heat treatment. After heat treatment, it will be straightened out.

    Production and Manufacturing Method
    According to different production methods, it can be divided into hot-rolled pipe, cold-rolled pipe, cold-drawn pipe, extruded pipe and so on.
    1.1. Hot-rolled stainless steel seamless tubes are generally produced on automatic tube rolling mills. The solid billet is checked and cleared of surface defects, cut into the required length, centered on the end face of the billet perforation, then sent to the heating furnace for heating, and perforated on the perforator. Under the action of the roll and the top, a cavity is gradually formed inside the billet, which is called capillary. It is then sent to the automatic pipe mill to continue rolling. Finally, the wall thickness of the whole machine is equalized, and the sizing machine is used to calibrate the diameter, which meets the specifications. It is an advanced method to produce hot-rolled seamless steel tube by continuous pipe rolling mill.
    1.2. If we want to obtain seamless tubes with smaller size and better quality, we must adopt cold rolling, cold drawing or combination of the two methods. Cold rolling is usually carried out on a two-roll mill. Steel tubes are rolled in an annular pass consisting of a circular groove with variable cross-section and a fixed conical head. Cold drawing is usually carried out on single-chain or double-chain cold-drawing machines of 0.5-100T.
    1.3. The extrusion method is to place the heated tube blank in a closed extrusion cylinder, and the perforating rod moves with the extrusion rod to extrude the extruded part from a smaller die hole. This method can produce steel pipes with smaller diameter.
